ELIGIBILITY :

• The applicants should have scored not less than 70% marks in the
• Only the professional degree courses BE/B Tech, Integrated 5-Yr Dual-Degree M Tech and MBBS are eligible for scholarships.
• Only first-year applicants beginning their studies in BE, B Tech, Integrated 5-Yr Dual-Degree M Tech or MBBS in the academic year 2018-19 are eligible.
• The applicants should have passed their Higher Secondary/Pre-University/Intermediate/ CBSE/ISC or equivalent board qualifying examination not earlier than 2017.
• The applicants should have scored not less than 70% marks in the qualifying examination.
• The applicants’ admissions to their professional degree courses/institutions should be on the basis of the open/general merit rank awarded to them at the state or national level entrance tests or through a counseling process conducted at the state level (as in the case of Tamil Nadu), as per the table given below.
• The rank limits are based on the seat intake capacities of the various states as authorized by the All India Council for Technical Education for engineering/technology (BE/ B Tech) degrees and by the Medical Council of India for medical (MBBS) degrees in the year 2018-19.

SCHOLARSHIP NAME:

Chief Minister Relief Fund Scholarship

CRITERIA:

Assistance from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund is given to :

• Permanent residents of the State of West Bengal.

• Distressed patients who are undergone treatment in the Govt./Non Govt. Hospitals/Institutions and also are unable to bear the cost of treatment

• Patients who are not eligible to get benefit of Employees State Insurance Scheme/any other insurance scheme or get reimbursement  from employer/organization.

• Patients can avail the assistance only once for the same case in one financial year.

ELIGIBILITY :
Assistance from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and Chief Minister’s Discretionary Fund is given to the student :

• Who is a permanent resident of the State of West Bengal.
• Who is studying in any institutions of the State after passing out the State Board /Council of Secondary Education or a State aided University in West Bengal.
• Who has got 65% marks in aggregate in Madhyamik Examination [for H.S. level] or 60% in aggregate in H.S. Examination [ for U.G. level] or 55% Marks in the Honours Subject [for P.G. level]
• Who do not enjoy any other governmental(central/state) scholarship or stipend for the same course or stage of study during the last year.
• Whose annual family income does not exceed Rs. 60000/-.
